Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman who was in Kolkata recently, shooting for National Award winning filmmaker Aparna Sen's latest Bengali directorial, Arshinagar in a statement said, that if she sees herself in any actress in the current generation it would be Vidya Balan.

Waheeda also said that if she was in her prime she would have loved to do Balan's 2012 super hit thriller Kahaani. The actress who has always experimented with unconventional roles and dared to be different with films like 'Guide' and 'Teesri Kasam', draws parallels between the bold career choices she made with those of Vidya Balan, who acted as a game changer in the industry.

Said Waheeda, "I also used to choose different movies. I never stuck to 'one good girl in love' (kind of role) and Vidya does the same thing. I had the guts to do Guide. At that time, they told me not to do it because it was a vamp's role. I did Mujhe Jeene Do and Teesri Kasam. I wanted to take a chance and even Vidya is doing that now".
