South Indian Cinema buffs have reason to celebrate because the Megastar Chiranjeevi, who has entertained millions of film buffs through three decades with his inimitable style, has given his approval for his 150th movie after lot of speculations.
Reports claim the actor, who had put on weight during his career in politics has trimmed considerably and looked dashing and handsome. He has done a photo shot for his 150 th film. Speaking to media he confessed, "I will soon be starting work on my 150th film. If audiences still want to see me on the silver screen, I would be more than happy to act.”
The movie will be produced by his loving son Ram Charan Teja. It will be a colossal venture that will be a complete masala' flick with tons of action and comedy. Briefing the media a member of the production revealed that after an exhaustive session of scripts reading Chiranjeevi sir has approved a script that is a complete commercial, a typical Chiranjeevi kind of movie which is loved by his fans.
It may be noted several leading directors like VV Vinayak, Rajamouli, Shankar, Puri Jagannath, Krishna Vamsi, Boyapati Srinu and Vikram Kumar have been visiting Chiranjeevi with scripts ranging from historical to social oriented theme with message but Chiranjeevi declined all.
According to the production member, “Chiranjeevi sir has been flooded with hundreds of scripts in the past few months. He was patiently reading the scripts but after lot of pondering he has given his consent to a wholesome entertaining script because he does not wish to disappoint his fans who love him fighting goons, dancing around with heroines in the bushes and delivering spellbinding dialogues.”
Insiders claim the production house has declared a whopping remuneration of Rs 1crore for the director with an exceptional script.
From the directors mentioned above the name that is more likely to get the opportunity to direct Chiranjeevi's 150th movie, is perhaps that of ace director V.V. Vinayak because he is one of the most commercially successful directors of his generation. He has delivered blockbusters like AADI' and TAGORE' in the past, as well as some good hits like ADHURS' and NAYAK'.
In an interview V.V. Vinayak humbly acknowledged, “Yes, I might direct this project. Discussions are going on and there are still some things to be finalized. Chiranjeevi himself will take the final call with respect to story and theme.”
