Acclaimed cinematographer VS Gnanashekar has announced his second project as a producer. 'Gamanam', which hit the screens on December 10 last year, was his maiden venture.

Sujana Rao, the debutant director of his first flick, is going to wield the megaphone for the untitled project. 'Gamanam' was an anthology film powered by dialogue-writer Sai Madhav Burra and Ilaiyaraaja's music.

Kali Productions will be announcing the key details of the project when it is launched in a few days.

After having worked on 'Manikarnika', 'Kanche', and 'Gauthamiputra Satakarni', among others, the cinematographer-producer is now doing 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu'. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the same stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead. Gnanashekar is also doing a project each in Tamil and Hindi.

What was 'Gamanam' about?

Kamala (Shriya Saran) is a mother working in a small factory. It has been a year since her husband migrated to Dubai to work as a driver. Kamala expects him to come back. Ali (Shiva Kandukuri) is a talented cricketer vying to make it big in the Ranji Trophy and play for India internationally one day. Zara (Priyanka Jawalkar) is his girlfriend. Two homeless kids crave a cake so as to celebrate their unknown birthday. Each of these characters has to tide over a common crisis in the second half. There are also problems that they face individually.
