VS Gnana Shekar, one of the most sought-after cameraman’s of Telugu cinema, is making his Tamil debut with filmmaker I Ahmed’s next, starring Jayam Ravi and Taapsee Pannu. Usually choosy with his choices, the film’s content sealed the deal for the cinematographer. A major part of the film’ shoot will take place in Russia.

That’s not it. Gnana Shekar, known for his wide range and frequent tie ups with Krish, has also been signed on by RX 100 director Ajay Bhupathi for his sophomore effort, starring Ravi Teja, Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles. A gritty drama, the film offered Shekar something new to explore and he latched on to it. He will begin shooting it from October-end.

The cinematographer is also attached to filming debutante Sujana’s human drama, which he is also producing. The shoot is over except for a story involving two kids, which he intends to wrap it up in 10 days. Tentatively titled Little Bird, the film is toplined by Shriya Saran, Shiva Kandukuri and Priyanka Jawalkar.
