Vice-President of India Venkaiah Naidu has paid a rich tribute to Vijaya Nirmala, hailing her for reaching the greatest heights through sheer grit and determination. "From a child artiste, she reached the top and has the distinction of raising the place of women in the film industry," Naidu said.

AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy lauded the departed soul for her stellar achievements and expressed sincerest condolences.

Former AP CM and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu said, "The passing away of actress Vijaya Nirmala garu is saddening. She gave many family-oriented films as a director, not just as an actress. She found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the woman who made the highest number of films. I pray that her soul rests in peace and convey my deepest condolences to her bereaved family."
