In an interview, Manchu Vishnu has said that 'Voter' doesn't mince words when it comes to calling out certain politicians.

"I also know that as the trailers keep coming, many people are going to rip me apart. I have spoken without a mask, and have taken names," the actor tells a national daily. The film's Tamil version, 'Kural 388' is also expected to stoke controversies.

Vishnu sees himself as a person close to many politicians.

Also starring Surbhi of 'Gentleman' and 'Okka Kshanam' fame, the film has Sampath Raj in a key role. Directed by Karthik Reddy, it has been produced by John Sudheer Pudhota of Rama Reels. Coming with the caption 'Hero of the Nation', it promises to be a political drama with loads of action thrown in. The importance of elections in a democracy is highlighted.
