A few days ago, G Karthik Reddy, the director of 'Voter', alleged that he has been taken for a ride by Manchu Vishnu. As per him, Vishnu wanted him to sign a fake agreement. In the agreement papers, it was mentioned that he would pay Rs 1.50 Cr for adapting the screenplay of 'Assembly Rowdy' in 'Voter'. "My film 'Voter' has no similarities with 'Assembly Rowdy'. It was a fake agreement. I am not liable to pay any amount," Reddy said.
Today, it's learned that Vishnu has slapped a legal notice on both the director and Sudheer Pudhota, producer of 'Voter'. Vishnu maintains that 'Voter' has some scenes and screenplay style similar to 'AR', which starred his father Dr. Mohan Babu in the lead.
'Voter' is gearing up for a May release. However, it has run into controversies. All is not well between the hero and his director-producer duo.
