Today when music rights had become non-profitable, VOD (video on demand) are becoming a good source of income. VOD rights are in demand especially in the overseas market. Recently, UTV sold all its titles including ‘Raajneeti’ and ‘Peepli Live’ for VOD.

A film sold on VOD is available to viewers after its theatrical release. Looks like VOD is slowly replacing the DVD market which is in constant threat of piracy and things are looking brighter for the industry.
