Popular television host and video jockey Ramya Subramanian has also acted in few movies in small characters, and was seen for a notable screen time in Maniratnam directorial OK Kanmani released in 2015, following which she had started to receive several movie offers.

Ramya had been signed to play the female lead in Sanga Thalaivan produced by director Vetrimaran and starring Samuthirakani in lead role, and was also seen recently in the Taapsee starrer Game over directed by Maya maker Ashwin Saravanan in a key role.

Next, the actress has bagged an important character in the upcoming Amala Paul starrer Aadai directed by Rathnakumar who had previously directed Meyaadha Maan. Aadai's teaser has created huge expectations on the bold and hard hitting theme of the movie and it is expected that the movie will be releasing soon.
