Television anchor turned serial actress Chithra VJ passed away early this morning reportedly by suicide after hanging herself in the bathroom of her hotel room on the outskirts of Chennai. An RDO enquiry has started since she had secretly married her fiance Hemanth Kumar by register marriage on October 19th.
Mystery surrounds the death as Chithra was seen in high spirits just hours before her death while shooting for a show for Vijay TV at the EVP Gardens and showed no signs of stress according to her costars. It is said that here were bruises on her chin causing suspicion of foul play.
Meanwhile actress Shalu Shammu has posted on her Insta stories that she had warned Chithra and tried to convince her on a phone call about something. She has written "I never thought I will loose u this way babe..when I spoke to you lastly I tried every second of the call to convince you for not taking a bad decision of ur life partner, but u were not ready to accept. If I known if this would have happen I never would've stop trying at the first place...Our heartbroken the second we lost U Chithu...RIP!
