Well-known character artist Vizag Prasad, 75, is no more. He breathed his last in a private hospital in Hyderabad early on Sunday due to cardiac arrest.
Starting out at a stage artist, Prasad went on to act in hits like 'Bhadra'. A nuanced performer, he used to ace that cunning villain's look quite well. Iconic director Jandhyala's 'Babai Abbai' was his debut movie. He owed his career to the times when filmmakers used to find their actors in the theatre world.
In early 2000s, he shot to fame with 'Nuvvu Nenu', in which he was at the other end of the iconic 'Chi chi mee peddollu unnare' punch line by Uday Kiran.
He became a busy TV artist in his later years. Films like 'Idhi Maa Prema Katha', and 'Allari Bullodu' kept him busy, among others.
