Udaykiran had earned a romantic image as a lover boy with continuous successes some time ago. However, he disappeared from the Telugu screen for some time due to various reasons and tried his hand in Tamil but failed there also.

Now, he is returning to the Telugu film industry with a big bang in a new style and with a new look.

He is now playing hero in a film, 'Viyyalavari Kayyalu' being produced by Lagadapati Sridhar, who had two consecutive hits to his credit on the banner of Larsco Entertainments.

The speciality of the film is that Real Star Srihari is playing the role of the brother of the heroine in this film.

Neha Jhulka, who played opposite Gopichand in 'Okkadunnadu' is in the female lead. Presently the film is shooting at Golconda and its surrounding areas.

The film is getting ready as a family entertainer under the direction of E Sattibabu. Efforts are on to complete all the formalities and release the film in May.
