Vijay Sethupathi's much awaited 'Junga' is arriving in theaters tomorrow July 27th. The film produced by the Makkal Selvan himself and directed by Gokul has him playing a funny don whose uniqueness is that he is very stingy as well. While you are gearing up to enjoy the laugh riot we take you back to two other films 'Padikadhavan' and 'Thottaal Poo Malarum' in which Vivek and Vadivelu played the funny gangster heads.
In 'Padikadhavan', Vivek got one of the best roles in his career playing "Assault" Arumugham the funniest don in Tamil cinema so far. Dhanush as the hero is a perfect foil to Vivek as he dupes him and takes him to Andhra Pradesh to fight a real don and that too without even having a single paise in his pocket. What happens to Vivek there and his confrontation scene with the don Samarasimha Reddy (Suman) will give the viewers a side ache and a stomach ache even on repeat viewing.
In 'Thottal Poo Malarum' Vadivelu plays a don from Mumbai Kabali Khan and who can forget his "Varum varaadhu" comedy with the late Ennatha Kannaiaya. The scene in which the Vaigai Puyal dressed as a sheik is also a favorite of his fans.
'Junga' has Vijay Sethupathi, Sayyeshaa, Madonna Sebastian, Saranya Ponvannan and Yogi Babu in the cast. Cinematography is by Dudley, music by Siddharth Vipin and editing by V.J. Sabu Joseph.
