The undiscovered area for progress in my career is direction says famous Tamil actor Vivek speaking to Bengaluru film media persons after the formal address of his first bilingual in Kannada and Tamil 'Maareecha' that held the script Pooja at Dharmasthala Sri Manjunatheswara Temple on last Saturday.
A Madhurai 'Veeran' in comedy roles in over 500 films Vivek says he never planned anything in life and it is because of KB sir he made entry to Tamil cinema and it is because of Dr APJ Adbul Kalam former President of India he started the 'Gree Kalam' revolution in his own way and so far finished sowing over 11 lakh plus plants in less than two years.
The satisfaction I got away from the cinema industry is this tree planting taught to me by our former President Kalamji. He is an avid watcher of my films and one day saying that he is his fan handed over a book and made me to read a poem on a tree. Kalamji also told me to take up planting saplings via my popularity. I strictly followed it and in two years time I finished over 11 lakh plantings at various places says Vivek who feels very proud for this work.
For the 12th lakh sapling Vivek has already invited Dr Kalam for a place in Tsunami affected 'Kadalur' village. This event would take place sometime in January 2012 informed Vivek on his mega project in life.
Vivek maiden directorial venture will be on the significance of green environment need but I will not miss out the comedy part in that film. I am already working on the script says the legendary comedy actor and Padmasri award winner Vivek.
What is another work Vivek forgotten after coming to limelight? Collect Provident Fund for seven years of his government service in the secretariat of Tamil Nadu government.
What is his worry? I can't go to Library and read books. What is his difficult task? Comedians should remain constantly different. Same steps for hero and same rape for a villain! It is not easy for a comedian to survive.
