Vivek & Priyanka having ball on their big day

Today a grand day unfolded for the Oberois and Alvas . Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka Alva will be sealed as husband and wife by the end of the day. Their wedding is expected to wrap up late in the night, with different types of traditional ceremonies taking most the day and evening. Close and dear ones are pouring into the wedding venue, at the Alva farmhouse.
Last night at PriyankaÂs bungalow, the soon-to-be pati-patni danced their hearts out along with family and friends to the tunes of renowned drummer Shivamani. All the guests believed to have enjoyed the mehndi and sangeet functions yesterday, which were held in a very glittering manner. Going by the guest list, it included several biggies of the screen town namely Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar.
Giving a sneak-peek about the coupleÂs attire  Vivek is said to wear tonight a traditional maroon costume along with a traditional sword, during the baraat ceremony. Selected specially by VivekÂs would-be, the swordÂs sheath has been designed with stones and embroidery.
As for the dulhan, Priyanka is expected to wear a Rohit Bal designed lehenga with 14 different colours and peacock motifs. The designs on her lehenga are with a view to match the beautiful mehendi designs on her hands and legs.
On the other hand, the wedding feast for this night will have a wide variety of cuisines, blending North and international delicacies, including traditional milk-based desserts and assorted sweetmeats.
The shaadi will be held in traditional Bunt and Punjabi style. According to sources, the jaymala ceremony will start from around 7 pm followed by the pheras at 11 pm.
