Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi was once Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's boyfriend. That was in the early 2000s. They reportedly broke up in the year 2003 after a short-lived love affair. The reason for their shocking break-up is not known. Years later, Aishwarya went on to marry Abhishek Bachchan. More years later, Vivek married the daughter of a political heavyweight from Karnataka.

In a recent interview, Vivek said that, after his love affair fell on the rocks, he was cynical. Bitterness overtook him. Probably, he was too depressed to think of a long-term relationship. This is when the actor fell back on flings. Urban Dictionary defines a fling as a deliberately short-term sexual relationship between two people.

But flings didn't redeem Vivek, who quickly realized that the more casual dates he went on, the lonelier he became. "I just wanted to have flings, I just want to be in a casual story and I went down that path. I explored that path and the more the girls I dated the more lonely I felt," he told Pinkvilla in a recent interview.

All is well that ends well. Vivek has been happily married to Priyanka Alva for more than 12 years. They are blessed with two kids.

The 'Raktha Charitra' actor was seen in Ram Charan's 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' in 2019.
