Actor Vivek Oberoi is currently working on Rohit Shetty's upcoming web show 'Indian Police Force' and in a recent media interaction, he shared a thing or two about it. Headlined by 'Shershah' star Sidharth Malhotra, the show will mark Rohit's debut in the OTT space and will feature Vivek as a police officer. The filmmaker is known for his larger than life portrayal of cops in film like 'Singham' and 'Simmba' but with 'Indian Police Force', he seems to have struck a balance between grand and realistic.
In a conversation with PTI, Vivek stated, "The larger-than-life Rohit Shetty signature is there but it is still palpably real. He has changed his language of cinema just for OTT. The scale, the passion with which Rohit has made this, he will set a benchmark with ‘India Police Force’. He took four years to get the script right."
Vivek, who has previously starred in web show 'Inside Edge', further heaped praises on his director and said, "The reason why Rohit Shetty is consistently successful is he is still so hungry, he is always first and the last guy on a set. He reinvented his own shot taking, his own grammar of cinema for OTT. He reinvented the tone in which the performances have to be. It is different from Simmba, Singham and he has kept the integrity of the world so honest and real."
Also starring Shilpa Shetty, 'Indian Police Force' is supposed to come out next year on Amazon Prime Video.
