Buzz is that Vivek Oberoi will play Dawood Ibrahim’s character in ‘Shootout At Wadala’. Yeah, Vivek has been of late included in the starcast of the film which already has Anil Kapoor and John Abraham.

Interestingly, sources revealed that, this is perhaps first time the name of the real-life character is being used by the reel character.

Director Sanjay Gupta confirmed to say that Vivek’s indeed plays a budding gangster who is called as Dawood and he has a strong role in the movie.

A sequel of the hit ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’, ‘Shootout At Wadala’ reportedly revolves around the first registered encounter by Mumbai police where gangster Manya Surve was shot dead. Incidentally, the filmmaker studied the legal pros and cons of using the name Dawood in the movie and still is keen to go ahead with it.
