Actor Vivek Oberoi, a hero turned villain on screen, had yesterday posted a derogatory tweet which had projected Aishwarya Rai and her personal life in bad light with a meme created by some random user comparing her relationships with the exit polls and the results.
Following this the actor was criticized heavily from all corners with fellow actors and politicians and media attacking him for his cheap meme and netizens bombarded him with abuses. After this, the National Commission for Women had sent a notice to Vivek asking him to explain on why he had posted such a distasteful and misogynistic meme featuring a woman and her minor daughter.
However after the notice, when media had questioned him on his act, Vivek Oberoi said that he will be meeting the NCW and answer them, and said that he does not have any problem in apologizing, but asked them to tell him what wrong he had done, and added that he just shared a meme and laughed at it and that he did not do anything wrong. He also said that with his Project Devi he has been empowering women and young girls and respects women and is not what they are projecting.
