Vivek has a cluster of movies on hand all portraying him as a comedian. The man of satire is all set to donning the grease paint, this time as a hero. Vivek would be playing the lead role in a movie proposed to be directed by Simbhudevan of 'Imsai Arasan' fame.

Speaking about his abrupt change of roles Vivek said, 'It is not a quick decision as it seems. I have been getting proposals to play the lead from a long time but I rebuffed those offers. I wanted to work in a storyline that has scope for me. After I made sure of the script, I decided to take the plunge'.

'An official announcement will be made to the public soon. At this point of time, all I can say is that the film has me and a herd of horses in pivotal roles.'

About his forthcoming flicks, Vivek says, ' I enact as a female in 'Guru En Aalu', for the first time. Everyone on the set, including Madhavan was stunned by my looks and commented that I look comely in the costume. In 'Vaa da' I am set to play the owner of a travels company at Rishikesh. My getup in the film resembles that of the legendary comedian Chandrababu.'

'I am a great fan of veteran artistes N S Krishnan and M R Radha. They had great social awareness and were never afraid to raise their voices against vices in society. Comedy was never a scarcity in Kollywood. Comedians of great calibre have emerged from this land.' The slapstick comedian said on a conluding phase.
