The buzz around recently released socio political thriller 'The Kashmir Files' is unreal. Based on a dark and horrifying chapter of Indian history, the film has managed to earn around 140 crore INR within a week of its release and it's been getting immense praises from audience as well.
Amidst this, few politicians from Rewari, Haryana have attempted to take advantage of film's success to gain popularity among the masses by arranging a free and open screening for public. Director Vivek Agnihotri has expressed his displeasure over the same and in a recent tweet, he urged Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar to action against such illegal screenings of his film.
The tweet read, "Showing #TheKashmirFiles like this in open and free is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE. Dear @mlkhattar ji, I’d request you to stop this. Political leaders must respect creative business and true Nationalism and Social service mean buying tickets in a legal and peaceful manner."
