Vivek Agnihotri slams Bollywood yet again for not learning from South Indian films

Ever since filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has gained popularity after the success of his film 'The Kashmir Files', he has missed no opportunity to slam Bollywood and its ways. He often takes to Twitter to slam the star culture, nepotism and other similar issues and he doesn't consider himself as a part of Bollywood.

In one recent tweet, Vivek pointed out how most of the big budget but lackluster Bollywood movies have failed this year while content rich but small scale regional movies have managed to grab the attention of audience. He slammed Bollywood for not learning from these developments and sticking to their formulaic masala movies.

Vivek's tweet read, "4 small films with no stars, no marketing or distribution support – #TheKashmirFiles, #Kartikeya2, #Kantara & #Rocketry earned approx 800 Cr at BO. The total cost of production of 4 films under 75 cr. Is Bollywood blind, deaf & dumb that they don’t understand simple Maths and learn?”

While most of the netizens agreed with Vivek, some pointed out that 'Rocketry' did have popular faces like Madhavan, Shahrukh Khan and Suriya in it. A user wrote, "Saying Rocketry didn’t had star is false…Madhavan is a huge star down south and the Tamil and Hindi version had Suriya and SRK as guest appearances.”
