The major organizations of Kollywood cinema have come together for a complete shutdown in protest against digital service providers and government policies. With still no indication of a resolution in the near future, actor Vivek has lamented about factors that are contributing to the demise of both cinema and agriculture.
Vivek has stated that Tamil Nadu is currently witnessing the dying of agriculture which is affected by dwindling water levels, disappearance of rivers and vegetation and governmental schemes such as Methane and hydrocarbon.
Similarly according to Vivek cinema too is dying due to unplanned releases, first day first show reviews on social media, ticket price rise and exhorbitant artists salaries. He is of the opinion that no solution can be found for both without the intervention of the government.
