Kamal Hassan's film has had a bumpy ride from the beginning. The January 23 decision of the TN government to ban it for 2 weeks only worsened the situation for its exhibitors and distributors.

It was released without hiccups in the other parts. But in view of Milad-un-Nabi celebrated today (Friday), the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, is learnt to have instructed theatre owners to cancel all the shows today. At Prasads IMAX today morning, the film was screened in three screens (one of them screened the Tamil version). Following the instructions issued keeping in view the law and order, theatre owners have not screened any more shows.

The situation is the same in Bengaluru and parts of Kerala too. In Palakkad and other places in Kerala, disruptions have been reported.
