The first part was a phenomenal success, with the movie creating waves even now. Everyone was excited to know that a sequel was to be released, for 'Vishwaroopam'. On constant updates, it has been reported that the film is gearing up very quickly. The proof of the pudding is here - 'Vishwaroopam 2' will hit the screens on August 15th, this year, across 3000 theatres, all around the globe! Seems like we don't have to wait too long. The news was declared by one of the executive producers of the movie, VTV Ganesh. He also said that the film has been created in a budget of Rs. 50 crores, as a portion of the film was already shot during the canning of the first part.

It was rather quizzical as to why the portions where Andrea appears, in the first part, did not seem to have high importance. The team says that this doubt will be clarified in the sequel, 'Vishwaroopam 2', which will explore the depth of her character. The movie is set on the backdrop of India, unlike 'Vishwaroopam' that predominantly focused on the terrains of Afghanistan.
