After the blockbuster Vishwaroopam that released in 2013, the next release of Universal Star Kamal Haasan was supposed to be its sequel which retained the same lead cast and was directed by Kamal himself. It was said that many scenes of the sequel were completed even before the release of the first part but till date Vishwaroopam 2 has not released.

For the past several months Kamal has been saying that the film has been completed but for a few graphic related post production works and the release is in the hands of the Producer Aascar V Ravichandran.

Now we insider sources in Kollywood reveal that plans are afoot to release the gigantic sequel as a Deepavali treat to Kamal fans and movie buffs. We will have to wait for the official word.

It is worth recalling that for Diwali 2015 Kamal's Cheekati Rajyam (Thoongavanam) released and managed to win commercially as well as critically. A Kamal film release for the second consecutive Diwali will be a tremendous treat for the star's fans. But we will have to wait as there have been so many attempts in the past to revive the film's release process but eventually did not happen.

Meanwhile, Kamal is presently busy shooting for the trilingual Sabash Naidu which he is also directing apart from playing the lead role.
