Kamal Haasan has condemned the central government in support of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who is on a hunger strike protesting against the non-cooperation of IAS officers in the governance. Kamal has stated "Interference in the functioning of an elected government is unacceptable in a democracy. In fact what is happening in Delhi and in TN/Pondicherry are not too different. It is frustrating for people who want a change for the better."
Arvind Kejriwal flew to Chennai from Delhi to meet Kamal Haasan and brief him about politics before he started the Makkal Neethi Maiam a few months back. Ever since then Kamal and the Delhi CM have been supporting each other in many issues. The sit in by Arvind Kejriwal at the Lt. Governor's office along with his cabinet members has entered the fourth day.
