Last Saturday, Vishwak Sen was reportedly thrown out by director Arjun Sarja from his project. The director said that the 'Ori Devuda' actor was repeatedly cancelling the film's schedules without giving a plausible reason.
Reacting to the issue, here is what Sen said on Sunday:
I am a thorough professional. I may have done small films so far but my producers have been big names. Dil Raju garu, PVP garu, Suresh Babu garu and others are all big. Even a light boy can't say that I am unprofessional.
I prefer to work in a give-and-take environment where there is scope to exchange ideas. For the first time, I okayed a film just out of respect for the director. And it's Arjun sir's film. The journey was not bumpy. Everything was fine. But I was not given the script in time. The first half was given to me for a read just a week before the production works were to begin. I never interfered in the writing.
The director was not open to ideas. It's not about arguments. It's not about having convictions. He was not letting me open my mouth. It was as if I was blindfolded and asked to do 'samsaram'.
Despite all that, I didn't opt out of the project. But on the day of the shoot, I was scared. It happened for the first time. I was not excited for the first time. I didn't ask the director to shelve the project. I only told him I wanted to discuss some things with him before starting the shoot. He didn't reply at all. Suddenly, his manager turned up and asked me to return the advance remuneration.
I didn't want to start the shoot and keep asking doubts cluelessly during the making of the film. That's why I wanted to be sure about what I was asked to do.
After Arjun sir's presser, everyone is judging me as if they have known me since my school days. How do they know what I am like? I have been doing movies continuously. If someone says I am unprofessional, I am ready to quit the film industry.
I didn't insult Arjun sir. If he feels so, I am ready to apologize.
