Director Ramkumar is one of the few directors in Tamil cinema who has given two films that are totally different from each other. His debut movie 'Mundasupatti' was an out and out rural laugh riot while his 'Ratsasan' was a violent psycho thriller that did not even contain one comedy scene.

Dhanush impressed by Ramkumar after 'Ratsasan' immediately agreed to act in his direction and pre-production works went on for almost two years under Sathya Jyothi Films banner. Later Dhanush opted out of the project due to creative differences and Ramkumar then approached Sivakarthikeyan who was interested but could not allot dates for another couple of years.

Ramkumar has now joined hands with Vishnu Vishal the hero of his first two films who is also producing the untitled project. While it is reported that the film is the one that was supposed to be made with Dhanush other sources suggest that it could even be 'Ratsasan 2' that the duo will be making first. We will have to wait for official confirmation on this one.
