Actor Vishnu Vishal had a mixed 2018 with his Ratsasan co-starring Amala Paul and directed by Mundasupatti director Ramkumar which became a superhit and followed it with Silukkuvarpatti Singam directed by Chella and co-starring Regina Cassandra, which became a commercial failure.

The actor has got emotional on his social media handle, about his father RC Kudawla IPS, who retires after 32 years in public service. He thanked people who supported him during his service and also posted a picture of his son at his father's office, and posted an emotional tweet "2 years of public service...i hav seen my dad touch so many lives..As he retires today im so so proud of himthank u god n thank u evryone who has been of great support in this journey..the first pic he took with his uniform n the last day at office with his grandson:)memorable".

He further tweeted "I aspire to be just 10 percent of him..that itself wil make me a good human(people who know him wil agree with me) I cant wait to share his stories with this world thru cinema..A REAL LIFE HERO..He starts his new journey today...Need all ur wishes".
