The 45 minutes meeting of Kichccha Sudeep with Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on Monday morning was to submit an appeal to decide on Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial at Bengaluru where the icon was cremated eight years ago on December 31 – next to Abhiman Studio.
This meeting of Kichcha Sudeep on Dr Vishnu Memorial has put the issue in controversy as Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana has already sought permission from government of Karnataka to set up Vishnu Memorial at Mysuru. This decision was taken after all attempts to retain Vishnu Memorial adjacent to Abhiman Studio. The government of Karnataka allotted five acres of land – Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana held the foundation laying for the memorial of her husband.
With such a scenario Kichcha Sudeep meeting Karnataka chief minister to retain the memorial in Bengaluru is no doubt in support of the call of Dr Vishnu fans.
In a letter submitted to Karnataka chief minister the super star urged for providing purchase of 1 acre of land where Dr Vishnuvardhana was cremated to set up ‘Dr Vishnuvardhana Punya Bhumi’. The fans have evinced interested in forming a memorial of their own – this issue has attracted Kichcha Sudeep and thus he sought permission from government of Karnataka.
With Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhan stand backed by Rocking Star Yash, the two super stars of Kannada cinema – Sudeep and Yash are having divergent views on Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial.
Kichcha sudeep is not against to Vishnu memorial in Mysuru but he wants the place where icon was cremated to be the ‘Punya Bhumi’ like that of Dr Rajakumar in Kanteerava studios.
At the cremation place Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana did not visit in the last two years on death anniversaries conducted by the fans of Dr Vishnu.. I would not step in to this place is her declaration.
Before December 30th - 8th death anniversary of Dr Vishnuvardhana a decision is sought by Kichcha Sudeep with Veerakaputra Srinivas accompanying him today.
