Vishal's sudden decision about Cinema industry strike

To combat piracy and to put forward various issues of the Tamil film industry to the government, Vishal the TNFPC head had announced an indefinite strike from the 30th of May. The Theater owners and the Tamil Film Chamber of Commerce members announced that they won't participate in the strike.

Yesterday the Council met to discuss the issue and many producers wanted to release their films before July 1st as the GST will come into effect after that adding the burden of 28percent extra tax. Keeping this in mind Vishal announced that he is calling off the proposed industry strike.
