There has been a turf war going on between the Tamil Film Producers Council and the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) over the past few days. The same has now taken an ugly turn. A producer named Manimaran has lodged a complaint against Dhanapal, an office-bearer of FEFSI, for allegedly threatening to kill Vishal, the President of Producers Council.
Speaking to IndiaGlitz, Manimaran said, "We got an ominous message to our leader (Vishal) from an anonymous number in WhatsApp. The message conveyed in unparliamentary words that Vishal will be murdered. We have lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police against Dhanapal as we suspect that he instigated this message."
A couple of days back Vishal announced that film producers can employ even those who are not members of the FEFSI.
