The Vishal headed Tamil Film Producers Council had requested the government of Tamil Nadu to set up a Tamil Film Development Corporation, to regulate ticket and parking fees in theaters and to abolish the LBET.  The Information and Broadcasting minister Kadambur Raju has confirmed that the government will be setting up development body for Tamil cinema.

Vishal has issued a statement in which he has thanked Kadambur Raju and TN government for honoring one of the TFPC's requests and has also expressed hope that all the other demands too will be met in the future.
