Puratchi Thalapathy Vishal will be next seen playing a police constable in his upcoming film 'Laththi', directed by debutant Vinothkumar. The survival thriller has Sunainaa as the female lead playing Vishal's wife. The Laththi teaser caught the attention of the fans and created anticipation.

The film was expected to have been released by now but was delayed as Vishal suffered injuries twice while shooting the stunt sequences. Now, the latest update is that Laththi is preparing for a Pan-Indian release on December 22, Christmas weekend. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies bagged the distribution rights of Laththi in Tamil Nadu, as per sources.

An official confirmation is awaited. Ilaya Thilagam Prabhu also plays a pivotal role in Laththi. Produced by Ramana-Nandaa's RANA Productions, Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the musical score for the movie with cinematography by Balasubramanian, editing by NB Srikanth and action choreography by Dhilip Subbarayan.
