Vishal who is the President of Tamil Film Producers Council and the General Secreatry of Nadigar Sangam was in the news last evening as reports pertaining to sleuths from the GST Intelligence unit’s raid in the actor’s office and residence.

But it is now confirmed that the said raid was not by the GST officials, but by the income tax department. “Income tax officials conducted a raid in my office. This is nothing out of the ordinary. I believe there is no political game at the backdrop of this. Even if that was the case, I’m ready to stand up against it. I needn’t fear any raids as I have been paying my taxes regularly,” Vishal said.

Alongside this, it has been reported that Vishal will have to submit relevant documents in reponse to the Income Tax department’s summon over a tax case in which about Rs.51 lakh tax due is involved.
