After 'Kathakali', actor Vishal's next film to hit the screens this year will be 'Marudhu' directed by Muthiah of 'Kutty Puli' and 'Komban' fame. Vishal acted in the lead role in this rural action entertainer with Sridivya as the female lead.

Vishal who has also produced the film under his Vishal Film Factory banner has that the shooting of 'Marudhu' has been wrapped up except for a song shoot, on Monday (Feb 29). He has also revealed that the teaser and first look poster of the film will be released soon.

The film has been predominantly shot in Rajapalayam located in Virudhanagar district of Tamil Nadu. Radharavi is playing an important role in the film and R.K.Suresh of 'Tharai Thappattai' fame has acted as the lead villain. Soori is expected to provide comic relief.

D.Imman has worked on the musical score for 'Marudhu' while Velraj has handled the cinematography.
