The foundation laying ceremony of Nadigar Sangam's new building happened today. Actors and actresses of the association have partook in the function that is still ongoing.

Nadigar Sangam's General Secretary, Vishal did the inaugural honors by laying the first brick for the foundation. He then spoke the media, and here's a gist of what the actor cum producer said.

With the Nadigar Sangam's new building, fresh artists will benefit a lot. Me and Karthi have planned to collectively contribute 10 crore rupees for the construction. No one can stop our growth or our effort. If they still stand against us, we'll simply get over them and move on.

Senior artists like Sharada and Vanisri attended the ceremony. Karthi, who is currently in Rajasthan for a shoot, could not attend. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are set to grace the function too.
