It has been a remarkable 19-year journey since Vishal made his debut in the film industry, and throughout this time, he has consistently delivered some of the most entertaining films, including Sandakozhi, Enemy, and the recent hit, Mark Antony. The anticipation surrounding his 34th film, a reunion with director Hari, has been building, and the latest update has only heightened the excitement.

The filmmakers recently took to social media to unveil the title of Vishal's upcoming venture – Rathnam. Accompanying this announcement was a gripping 2-minute and 18-second teaser that offered a sneak peek into the film. The teaser unfolds with a convoy of trucks storming into a rural village, setting the stage for intense action. Vishal, the protagonist, emerges from one of the trucks, confronting the antagonist and delivering a dramatic act of revenge by beheading him in front of a deity.

Rathnam marks the third collaboration between Vishal and director Hari, following their successful partnership in the 2006 film Thamarabharani and the 2014 film Poojai. Adding to the excitement, it has been disclosed that Priya Bhavani Shankar will play the female lead in the movie.

Speculation is rife that Rathnam will feature esteemed actors such as Gautham Vasudev Menon, Samuthirakani, and Yogi Babu in significant roles, although official confirmation is eagerly awaited. The film is jointly produced by Stone Bench Films and Zee Studios in collaboration with Invenio Origin. Noteworthy talents such as Devi Sri Prasad in charge of the music and M Sukumar, renowned for his work in Kaaki Sattai, handling the cinematography, further raise the anticipation. TS Jay assumes the role of editor for the film.

Vishal's last appearance was in the science fiction action comedy, Mark Antony, alongside SJ Suryah. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film also featured Ritu Varma, Selvaraghavan, YG Mahendran, and others in pivotal roles, contributing to the actor's diverse and impressive filmography.
