As director Mysskin and team is geared towards the release of Vishal starrer Thupaarivaalan', the actor claims it to be the most stylistic film among his entire filmography. In contrast to the actor’s previous powerful and energized character roles, the role of detective Kaniyan Poongundran is as somber as it is intriguing. According to the actor, his role in this Sherlockian detective genre is calm, cool and composed as all intelligent persons usually are.
'Thupparivaalan' is Vishal's first movie in which there are no songs. Regarding the absence of songs in the movie, the actor stands by strong reason and logic as 'Thupparivalan' is a film that has greater inclination on the story. "People have started supporting movies with good story and different plots so this film will be a treat to those movie buffs who would like to watch movies with strong storylines," the actor added.
One of the highlights of the movie, according to the 'Sandakozhi' actor is the fight sequence in a Chinese hotel. The team had roped in specially trained Vietnamese stunt artists for the fight scene which is choreographed by Dinesh master, but which was originally designed and outlined by director Mysskin himself.
Vishal is also hopeful that 'Thupparivaalan' will pave way to better films in the future as movies like 'Irumbu Thirai', 'Sandakozhi-2' and 'Temper' are in line for the actor.
The film which goes on screen this September 15 has a star studded cast with K.Bhagyaraj, Prasanna, Andrea Jeremiah, Vinay and Anu Immanuel in important roles.
