This adrenaline-pumping action thriller, set to release in both Tamil and Telugu, promises a cinematic treat for audiences across linguistic boundaries. With the talented Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, "Rathnam" is all set to hit theaters on April 26, 2024.
Vishal, renowned for his high-octane mass action entertainers, is also celebrated for his bold stance against monopolistic practices in the industry. His outspoken nature has often led to clashes regarding his film releases, particularly with the Producers Council.
In a recent interaction with the press ahead of the release of "Rathnam," Vishal addressed the challenges he has faced regarding his film releases. He adamantly stated that no individual or entity, whether a top banner, director, or star, should have the authority to impede a film's release or pressure its postponement.
Asserting the principle of fair competition, Vishal emphasized that release dates are not monopolized by any party, and every filmmaker has the right to vie for audience attention. He emphasized the importance of preventing small producers from suffering losses due to undue pressures and reiterated the right of every filmmaker to compete on a level playing field. Vishal reaffirmed that the release date for "Rathnam" was finalized well in advance for April 26 and could not be altered under pressure.
