Actor Vishal, in a recent impassioned interview professed that his sole aim was to save the film industry from ruins and not making crores out of movies. This might explain the actor's falling frequencies in movie releases in the recent past, including the delay of his highly anticipated film 'Thupparivalan' directed by Mysskin.
The actor who turned forty recently also says that he could have easily made upwards of 20 crores if he had not worked whole-heartedly in his responsibilities as the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam and the President of the Tamil Nadu Film Producers' Council. "One cannot cheat people by acting the good samaritan in films alone like helping the poor and the aged. I can earn crores of rupees in the following years as well. But if I had not done my duties and responsibilities properly, the industry would have been in a devastating state," Vishal added.
Vishal plays a flamboyant detective in 'Thupparivalan' directed by Myshkin which is slated to be released on September 15
