On the eve of shooting the climax for Paayum Puli` actor Vishal has offered his salutations to the late Police Sub Inspector Alwin Sudhan on whose life the movie is based on. The SI who was known to oppose caste based riots was unarmed doing bandabost duties when he was murdered by an armed gang in Sivanganga district in the year 2012. He was awarded the Police Medal of Gallantry posthumously by the President of India.

Vishal has tweeted "Alwin Sudhan I bow to u. Proud to do dis film irrespective of the result. God bless"

Paayum Puli` is directed by Suseenthiran and produced by Vendhar Movies and has Vishal, Kajal Agarwal, Samuthirakani, Soori and a host of other stars in the cast. Music is by D.Imman, cinematography by Velraj and editing by Anthony.
