Following Tamil Nadu Film Producer's council's decision to work with non members of the Film Employees Federation of South India, the President of the latter, R.K. Selvamani had released a statement explaining the problems faced by his organization and also wishing to renegotiate with the former.

The TNFPC has replied via an official statement in which it has thanked the FEFSI showing interest in renegotiation but has firmly warned them that production will continue if they go ahead with the proposed strike from August 1st. The Vishal headed council have clearly pinpointed the particular technicians' unions, which are constantly causing trouble and barring those they are ready to negotiate with the others. The other condition that they have put forward is that R.K. Suresh starrer Billa Pandi' shooting was disrupted and the perpetrators should compensate for the loss to facilitate further talks. Industry insiders see this as a major bold step by Vishal headed team to take on a problem that has plagued the industry for forty years or so.
