The rival camp of Vishal in the Producer's Council protested by locking up the office premises. Vishal was elected the President of the Producers Council during the last elections and has ever since effected many changes in the proceedings including constituting a release committee that aids in the smooth release of films every week.

However there is growing dissent among the rival camp of Vishal headed by J.K. Rithish, Suresh Kamatchi , Radha Krishnan and others. They already had released a statement on Whatsapp listing out 18 important issues that have not been sorted out by the Vishal administration. The Vice President Kathiresan tried his best to pacify the members but since no resolution was reached they went on to lock up the offices and started raising slogans against Vishal.
