As we had reported earlier, a team of Kollywood celebrities comprising of actors Vishal and Prakash Raj visited New Delhi on Friday to meet the Tamil Nadu farmers who have been protesting in the National capital for over ten days with various demands. As per the plan the duo met the protesting farmers and offered the solidarity. Today a team comprising of Vishal, Prakash Raj and director Pandiraj has apparently met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and handed over a petition enlisting the demand of Tamil Nadu farmers and sought the immediate intervention of the Government to fulfil these demands.

It is a praiseworthy move by the film industry celebrities to have taken the demands of the farmers directly to the Union Minister and hope this brings a solution to the burning issues affecting the livelihood of farmers.
