Vishal, a member of the Tamil Nadu Film Producer Council, was earlier suspended owing to a comment he has made in an interview in the recent past.

In a sequence of events including Vishal's apology and his appeal at High Court made the Council to revoke the suspension, and reinstate the actor.

Now, back as the member of the Producers Council, it appears like Vishal has decided to escalate the drama further by a notch, as sources say that he will compete for the post of the Council's President.

There is no official information as of now, and we'll have to wait further to see the credibility of the sources. Last month it was announced that Khushbu Sundar will contest as the Presidential candidate of the team formed by Vishal. But now this news comes. We will have to wait for an official announcement to get clarity.

Currently, Kalaipuli S. Thanu heads the Council as its President.
