Nadigar Sangam 65th General Body Meeting highlights

The Nadigar Sangam held its 65th General Body Meeting on Sunday headed by President Nasser who stated that the elections scheduled for November is postponed as the construction process of the new building would be affected. General Secretary Vishal announced that rupees 20 Crores is required for the successful completion of the new building and the current office bearers are probing various avenues to generate the funds and even though their term ends in October the promise is that the next GBM would be held in their own new premises.
Though the decision to postpone the elections by six months was welcomed by many senior actors such as S.Ve. Sekhar and Anandaraj objected to it. Sekhar also was irked by the Sangam not paying homage to former Prime Minister Vajpayee who passed away recently while the did so to Karunanidhi. He also said that his ouster from the organization in which he is a member from the 80s is illegal and he will fight for his rights.
Karthi the treasurer explained that if the election date is announced then the rules are that for three months no cheque signing can be allowed which would pose a problem for the building.
