Following the end of the tenure of the current team heading the South Indian actors Association Nadigar Sangam, the elections for the association are expected to be announced soon, by a retired judge who will preside over the election proceedings. The elections for Producers council is also expected to be held soon.

In such a situation, following the recently held meetings of the actors association, the current president of the association actor Nasser had yesterday announced that he will be contesting yet again for the post of president, while Poochi Murugan will be contesting for the vice president's post.

Nasser also added that actors Vishal and Karthi, who won the elections last time and got elected as the secretary and treasurer of Nadigar Sangam respectively, will again contest for the same posts this time as well. On the opposite side, the previous election contestants Radharavi and Sarathkumar are facing cases, and hence it is not yet clear who will be contesting against Nasser and team.
