Vishal invites protest from worried colleagues

Sunday and Monday have seen some hectic activity on the front of the Tamil Film Producers' Council. A section of the Council has demanded that its President, Vishal, should resign following his recent attempt (now aborted) to contest the RK Nagar bye-elections in Chennai.
As per the protesting members, by getting into politics, Vishal may have made the Council look hostile in the eyes of the AIADMK-led government. No film industry body would like to earn the incumbent ruling party's wrath by seeming to be going against its interests.
Ponvannan along with President Nassar, Treasurer Karthi, Secretary Vishal and vice president Karunaas were together during the elections and now it looks like the unity has suffered.
Vishal's political ambitions have already created a rift in the Council as director-producer Cheran has gone all guns blazing against him demanding his resignation.
Will Vishal budge?
